You Will Never Ride Alone is a Stop Motion animation designed to show camaraderie within the cycling world. The film attempts to achieve this by following a lone fixed gear rider (myself) on his journey to the velodrome, followed by four lino printed bikes along the way bearing the UCI colours. The majority of the scenes were the results of changing factors along the way and vary from the original storyboard.
The film has a deliberate roughness to fit with the simplistic nature of my stop motion but also to draw the viewer in via the alternative use of techniques such as low shots bringing a different perspective to the film and capture motion. This basic vision also reflects the niche cycling subculture I have selected as there is nothing complex about the bike, although it is aerodynamic it has no brakes or freewheel.
