Surely, if he has an appointment that he's in danger of being late for, he should be riding on the road, not walking on the sidewalk. I think it's telling that the ad doesn't end with him riding on the road, where a bike belongs. Instead it essentially emasculates him as a cyclist, turning him into a pedestrian dragging a useless chunk of metal.
