Comment by DiabloNYC on January 25, 2012 at 12:42pm I use to have a Carbon Trek US Post Office limited edition Tour De France and I tell you it was a sweet ride, I had the same system of this Stradalli.
Comment by Cloud Buster on January 25, 2012 at 12:15pm HA, ha ha ha ha... carbon messenger bike ha ha. Guaranteed for two years or two deliveries. At least it has a red chain, 'cause red chains are important.
Comment by DiabloNYC on January 25, 2012 at 12:07pm Everyone have different ways to see life and for sure different taste of what they like to use, in my case a good messenger bike will be a single speed with two brakes straight handle bars and not heavy at all so at the end of the day you will still have some energy to do other activities.
But I won't criticize or insult someone just for been different.
Comment by Brian McGloin on January 25, 2012 at 12:04pm When I was a NYC messenger I was happy to pay my rent AND buy some groceries, at the same time. Never mind carbon fiber road bikes.
Imagine how it will look after a month of locking, if it survives.
Maybe a messenger who has rich parents can have a rig like this for weekends or non-work riding. Its a little funny to see cheap wheels on a carbon frame. It looks cool and they ride fine, just this sort of thing usually has some sort of crazy wheels equally impractical.
I've never ridden a carbon frame so I have no idea if it's worth the expense.
I think I made too much of a big deal of this. I need to get away from the Mac and on my dented bike and go ride in the rare rain.
Comment by Paul Policastro on January 25, 2012 at 11:58am What makes that a messenger bike? I have never, nor do I ever expect to see a messenger working on a carbon bike. PLUS this wasn't designed to be a "messenger" bike, its just a compact road frame with a chain tensioner.
I think everything about this bike is bobo. vomit.
Comment by Brian McGloin on January 25, 2012 at 11:55am It just stops faster and is easier to control, which means easier to go faster.
Good job with the photo, lining up the valve stems and the Continental logos.
(and cut the dang fork!)
Comment by DiabloNYC on January 25, 2012 at 11:52am I didn't notice it , you're right it need front brake then it won't be street legal !!!
Comment by Brian McGloin on January 25, 2012 at 11:44am Why no front brakes? Maybe give it a disc in the front.
Otherwise, sweet ride.
