Because life is not just about bicycles......

chrome midway pro's and crank brothers egg beaters

Picked up a brand new pair of chrome midway pro's. i heard there was size issues and i am sized as a 42eu, or 8.5 us from my ski boots, i heard that you should buy a half size smaller, at the store they had an 8 and a 9, the 9 felt much better and i hope the cloth doesn't loosen up a whole lot, i can feel the heel cup wearing out and i will need an insole for sure.

bought at salvagetti in north Denver 38/Irving.

i got my crank brothers egg beaters 2 from Recreational Equipment International because of their 100% satisfaction. the 2, 3, and ti have additional accessories and a 5 year warranty.

so far clipping in and out has been easy, i skid yesterday and turned my left heel out too far and clipped out. but otherwise riding slowly, mounting and dismounting my bike,on the pedals but not clipped in is manageable, moreover climbing and slowing down and skidding (dry conditions) and riding around feels much more connected to the bike and smoother and more efficient (all things i wanted and hoped for)

may need to adjust my cleat to a lower position and raise my seat so my feet stays more vertical instead of horizontal, through the down stroke.

i ride in Denver and south Denver i'll be wearing these full time for the fall and spring as long as i'm riding.
