I finally got some time to check out the Cyclehawk story & some of the photos. I really like the Cyclehawk story - I think that's just awesome! I've been able to see some pretty cool bikes and to learn a little more about cycling/cyclists in other cities. Life is an adventure, and this site just exposes me to a bit more of it. I may just have to make a trip up to NYC sometime.

I was reminded today of my first commute trip, when I announced (in another webforum) that I had made it to work in 15 minutes. Here is what I wrote then:

Ahhh... The rubber legs! The taut stomach muscles! The runny nose! Oh, the joys of riding a bike for the first time in over 15 years! Well, that's what I get for letting myself get so out of shape since the Marines! Still, I made it to work in @ 15 minutes, and back home in just under, suggesting only… Continue

O.k., so I rode 94 km. I only managed a couple photos: http://cyclehawk.ning.com/photo/albums/cycling-charlotte
It was the most difficult ride I've done so far. I would go so far as to suggest it was a ride of epic proportions for me. Keep in mind that it was only in May that 48 km (30 miles) was a long ride. So pushing 94 km (58 miles) is something I have been working up to. I've got a 65-mile charity ride next week, so this was working toward that.
First, I should have…
