Police giving Tix for brakeless bikes on Williamsburg bridge today (June 30)

Heard via BikeblogNYC.

I have to go that way right now unfortunately... and I dont have brakes.

Hopefully these tickets can be beat the same way described for bells and lights @ transalt (link below)

In response to the ever growing number of cyclists and to promote cycling as a healthy, environmentally-sustainable form of transportation, DOT will work with our Coordinated Street Furniture vendor, Cemusa, to install 36 Bicycle Parking Structures around the City by the end of the year.
