The party featuring DJ Jason Jinx and OKDJ begins at 11:00pm at 141 Chrystie Upstairs and goes until 4 am.
Orchard Street Runners and Trimble Racing are proud to announce the inaugural Midnight Half. This unsanctioned and loosely organized 13.1 mile running race is held late at night through the open streets of New York City. The course is suggested by the organizers with the fastest route equaling the distance of a half marathon. Competitors are expected to navigate the route without course marshals or markings. The spirit of this competition is based on the weekly nighttime training runs of New York City's urban running groups.
The race begins with a 4.5 mile leg to the 1st checkpoint in Red Hook, Brooklyn. The first male and female runners to reach the checkpoint are awarded a cash prime. The 2nd and final checkpoint is located in the distant neighborhood of Williamsburg. At each checkpoint runners will be marked to prove that the entire distance has been accomplished. After the final checkpoint there is a short but steep run over the Williamsburg Bridge back to the finish line at 141 Chrystie.
